Roots to co-host annual TREK to the North Pole with Ponderosa State Park!

The Trek to the North Pole is hosted this year by Roots and Ponderosa State Park, with the City of McCall as our sponsor! Join us for this free family event at the Activity Center in Ponderosa State Park on Saturday, December 15th from 10am – 12pm!

Check in at the registration table where you will be greeted by volunteers who will supply you with snowshoes (if snow conditions require) and have you fill out a waiver. Then, gather with your group and meet your scavenger hunt leaders: Roots Alumni and Idaho Master Naturalists. They will help you on your hunt to the North Pole, where you just might see Santa! All those who find Santa will have the opportunity for a free professional photograph taken by KayBird Photography.

Once you return from your trek, warm up in the Activity Center with Mrs. Claus who will be reading wintertime stories, or grab a hot drink and snack. The first 100 children will receive a free book!

Please note that our last trek scavenger hunt will leave the Activity Center no later than 11:30am. Plan ahead so you don’t miss your chance to trek to the North Pole!

This year’s event is sponsored by City of McCall LOT funds. Their sponsorship allows us to support these local businesses: Mountain Java, Rocky Mountain Signs, Barn Owl Books, Star News, Stacey Cakes, Kaybird Photography, and Printshop McCall.
