This week, students in all classes are learning about ways the animal, human, and plant worlds prepare for winter. Winter came earlier than we expected but we are continuing with our preparations! Today, the Ponderosa Pines used a hand-crank apple slicer to cut apples to put in a dehydrator so that we can enjoy dried apples throughout the winter. The Tamaracks and Pines will also dehydrate apples and all the classes will get to eat the (dried) fruits of our labor!
All of the classes were busy this week preparing our brand new wall tent for winter by adding a splash of color to give it a homier feel!
Yay Fall!
